Auditions at RSS Theatre

A Play is a HUGE commitment...
make sure you are committed to all rehearsals and performances!
Students will need to come to all auditions prepared with a memorized 1-2 minute monologue, ready to perform. These monologues will not be provided to you, but can be found in plays, books, and (if neccessary) taken from movies. This is something you can begin learning at any time during the year...the sooner the better!
If the play you are auditioning for is a musical, it is very important that you attend all audition workshops provided. You will also need to prepare 16 bars of a song that expresses your singing ability along with your range. These song samples will be provided to you through the callboard before the workshops/auditions. At the workshop, students will be taught the dance portion of the audition as well.
